GATE Electronics have released their newest generation of Advanced AEG MOSFET control units. The MERF 3.2 has 10 functions including: active braking, full battery protection, Rate of Fire control, 3 round burst mode, and a smart trigger.
Active braking forces the motor to stop turning after the gearbox has completed a full cycle. This will increase the life of your gearbox by not allowing an incomplete cycle to put extra stress on the gearset and piston.
The MERF 3.2 is equipped with an electronic fuse that provides short-circuit protection, overheating protection, and battery low voltage protection. These three forms of protection help to keep your batteries functional and safe.
Gate’s MERF 3.2 can be operated in two modes; simple and enhanced. Using simple mode, the MERF system will replace the standard fire selections with the new Safe/ Semi/ Burst (3 round) selections. In enhanced mode, you can choose between Safe/ Semi/ Burst and Safe/ Burst/ Auto. Enhanced mode requires signal wires to be soldered on to the gearbox trigger contacts.
