Gate PicoAAB MOSFET

GATE Electronics have released their 3rd generation of AEG MOSFET units. The PicoAAB is the smallest and the most efficient 3rd Generation MOSFET with Active Brake on the market. It can operate with the most powerful airsoft AEGs and Li-Po batteries up to 14.8V.

The PicoAAB is an electronic circuit designed for installation in airsoft AEGs. It eliminates energy loss which occurs when mechanical trigger contacts touch each other. It protects your AEG by preventing trigger burn-out. The PicoAAB MOSFET technology takes any excess battery energy and directs it into the motor, preventing arcing in the trigger contacts and resulting in increased trigger response.

The “AB” in PicoAAB stands for Active Brake. Active braking forces the motor to stop turning after the gearbox has completed a full cycle. While shooting in semi-auto, the brake will not allow the piston to partially compress the spring after each shot. The piston will stop at the forward position, which eliminates unnecessary stress on the gearbox.

The PicoAAB is also equipped with an electronic fuse. The electronic fuse totally protects against overheating and short-circuits of the electrical system.

GATE has added a new digital interface to their 3rd generation MOSFET units.The digital interface provides full compatibility with micro-switches. It is also fully resistant to contact bounce. You gain an increased rate of fire, faster trigger response, and your MOSFET generates less heat.
